About This Project

Rob Friedman had a bold vision for Rikasa, his unique 4-level venue in downtown Pittston. As part of the Friedman Hospitality Group, Rob understood what makes events truly memorable—it's the moments when everyone feels connected, no matter where they are in the space.

The venue itself was stunning—a distinctive 4-story building in the heart of downtown Pittston with character and charm. But Rob knew that without the right technology backbone, his vision would remain just that: a vision.

But there was a problem. Traditional AV systems are complex, unreliable, and require technical expertise that busy bartenders and wait staff simply don't have time to master.

That's where Automated Lifestyles came in. Rob shared his dream with our team, and we didn't just see it as possible—we saw it as an exciting challenge to make his tech dreams come true. While others might have focused on limitations, we focused on solutions.

Client Challenges

Without the right technology solution, Rob's vision was at risk. Imagine:

  • Staff fumbling with complicated controls during a wedding ceremony
  • Audio delays ruining the magic of a rooftop toast
  • Different floors playing different content when unity was needed
  • Technical failures embarrassing clients on their special day

The venue's potential was enormous, but only if the technology could work flawlessly and simply.

Our Solutions

Rob trusted our expertise to bring his picture to life. He knew that choosing the wrong technology partner could mean compromising his vision or, worse, creating a system so complicated that his staff would avoid using it altogether. After our initial consultation, Rob felt confident that we understood not just the technical requirements, but the hospitality experience he was trying to create.

Our team designed and installed a comprehensive system that transformed this 4-level venue into a unified entertainment experience, exactly as Rob had envisioned it.

Simple iPad Control: Bartenders and wait staff control everything through an intuitive iPad app—no technical training required.

Synchronized Audio/Video: Perfect synchronization throughout all four levels means rooftop toasts reach every guest simultaneously.

Flexible Display Options: From the 2nd floor projection screen to dual motorized screens with ultra-short-throw projectors on the 3rd floor, plus two Samsung 98" TVs on the rooftop—every space can show the same content or something completely different.

Universal Content: Live bands, wedding ceremonies, the Super Bowl, or any Apple TV app—everything works seamlessly across the entire venue.

Robust Infrastructure: Enterprise-grade Wi-Fi ensures iPads respond instantly, every time.

The best part? Staff love how easy it is to use, and clients are amazed by the seamless experience that makes their events truly memorable.
